Volume 4.01 | January 7, 2024 — 2024: Year of Magical Probability Patterns

Dear Friends,

The year 2024 will be one for the ages, one that will almost surely shake us to the core – in a good way – and find us feeling more deeply than any other previous time. In many ways, January is the harbinger of things to come.

2024 is a right-angle turn that cannot be avoided or delegated. It is an opportunity to choose a new path, with more connections and support than ever before, for real, for both the individual and nations. This won’t happen by itself. Each of us will be encouraged in our way to participate honestly.

The logjam of the last several months and years is officially coming to an end. January and beyond will have a very different vibe, one that is forward-moving and unstuck, because the speed of things will quite possibly take our breath away.

While 2024 is a turning point, it is only the very start of a massive generational shift that promises to completely upend the world power structure, witness all of us building community in entirely new ways, and one which will demand that we collectively reflect upon what it means to be human.

“Community” itself will be redefined in unexpected ways. The focus will now shift to smaller “communities” of like-minded individuals, some of them virtual. Contrary to conventional wisdom, the population is not going to shift toward large urban centers, but instead away from them.

Technology will now need to reflect and embody humanity more closely and purposefully, never replacing us, though initially, it will feel like the opposite, as a long-term invisible battle is brought to the surface. I say this as everyone is suddenly talking about artificial intelligence and automation – technology that is truly in its infancy and which will evolve rapidly.

No longer will it be possible for there to be one superpower nation imposing its will on others, or one class dominating the masses.

The idea that we are only as strong as our weakest link will come into focus in undeniable ways, unexpected places, and inconvenient moments until the proper changes are made.

This is evolution. In the process, money and values will be completely redefined. We may find ourselves suddenly not recognizing the world around us, and we may not have time to assimilate this fact before it shifts again, rapidly.

2024 is also the beginning of a spotlight on a power struggle between two ways of being: one that is old and outdated and an emerging new one, particularly related to how power and powerlessness are perceived. The behind-the-scenes power brokers who make the rules will no longer be able to operate invisibly. There will be no hiding places. We will know who they are.

The initial stages of this transformation may feel like absolute chaos. On the surface, it may seem like the world is falling to pieces, and in some ways it will be. A deeper dive, however, reveals an emerging new world – one that is already being felt, though it will take a generation to be realized. 2024 is only the beginning.

The way through this time is to focus almost exclusively on the moment, the immediate next steps, for at times the changes will be happening faster than we can assimilate them, changing on a dime, in a single breath, repeatedly, like an emotional experiential strobe light. Key moments in 2024

January 20, 2024. This is the exact moment when we move past the log jam and into a new time. It can feel like the world is suddenly moving at breakneck speed, with one shocking event or revelation after the next. This is the entrance to the generational shift I keep talking about. This shift will be in place for 20 years, completely transforming the world: small local and virtual communities of like-minded people, technological advances we haven’t yet imagined but which will feel sudden and even unexpected.

April 20, 2024. Breakthroughs, quantum leaps, new resources, and new ways of utilizing resources. Of course, this will register differently for each of us. This can be a very optimistic, positive time, and one that can go too far if we let it. The best way to embrace this energy is to think of new and better ways each of us can contribute to better the world. It is about freedom and finding ways of bringing about liberating change. The danger is taking this to the point of fanaticism. It’s about value-added, not value-taken.

August 19, 2024. A worldwide struggle between opposing social and political forces. A dance between what is possible and the limits to what is possible. Tension. Worldwide there are many elections taking place this year. Anything is possible; what happens depends upon who shows up. It could easily go either way. So much will change before the votes are in. The deeper struggle is between the old power structure that is struggling to hold on and an emerging one which is all about community, social justice, and shared interests.

November 3, 2024. Tension. This is right before the US Presidential election. On the one hand, we can accomplish incredible things during this time. Intense mental focus is possible to help it along, so long as we don’t use the energy to attack others with whom we disagree. Just because you can do something (to get the best of your perceived opponent) doesn’t mean you should. Calm and careful are essential at this time.

It feels highly unlikely that the U.S. Presidential contest will be a rematch between Trump and Biden. There will be unexpected changes that haven’t been considered yet and which will bring about much different results than anyone is talking about.

Someone we haven’t considered yet will emerge. An excellent use of this energy is to make it a point of seeing each person for their humanity, not their beliefs.

Putin and Netanyahu are on the way out. Within 2 months, very few people will be talking about Trump having any chance at a return to the White House. In some places there will be more extreme candidates. While it may seem like a victory for the oppressive elements, it is more of a valedictory moment. Even if they win the elections, this is the end for them.

Conclusion

2024 marks the beginning of a new era and the end of another. Think of it as ships passing in the night, The myopic view may seem depressing at times, but there is so much positive energy in 2024, there is even more potential for lasting change and optimism. We have to work through our inner conflicts if we want to have peace and prosperity that touches us. It begins with the individual. Are you with me?
